Managed by Sam Kitchen, her husband Ian, and brother James, Longnor Wood is thrilled at the prospect of being recognized at the Peak District, Derbyshire, and Derby Tourism Awards. The site's unique charm, set against a backdrop of woodlands with excellent walking routes, pubs, and market towns in close proximity, contributes to its status as a finalist.

Sam Kitchen expressed her excitement, stating, "Longnor Wood is a really special place which is reflected in the feedback we get from our guests and how many return for repeat visits. People really feel like they can get away from it all here."

The Peak District, known for its outstanding tourism offerings, is home to remarkable businesses, and Longnor Wood wishes all finalists the best of luck. The awards, organized by Visit Peak District & Derbyshire in collaboration with Visit Derby, aim to spotlight excellence in the local tourism and hospitality sector. The ceremony, scheduled for Thursday, March 7 at the Museum of Making in Derby, will reveal the winners across 14 categories, celebrating the resilience and success of businesses contributing to the region's vibrant tourism landscape.
